DATA FROM SHADOWRUN 3RD EDITION
I noticed some people bagging on trolls for having high ground
pressures. I did not think that was correct and heres my math
on the subject. These values are taken straight from SR3. If you
want to dispute the values please let me know what you think they
SHOULD be and why.

Average humans foot= 11 inches in length, 3 in width. 33 sq.
inches.
Shoes are not square, so reduce to 30sq inches. You have two feet.
60 sq inches. 154/60=2.56 PSI
We can reasonably assume shoe/feet sizes scale up or down proportially to height.
Thus a dwarf has shoes about 7.6 inches long and 2 inches wide. About 15.2 sq inc/foot, or about 14 adjusted. Dwarves have an average ground pressure of about 4.3 PSI
Elves have a foot size of about 13.2 and 3.6inches. Thus 47.5 sq inches/foot. We'll say about 39 sq. inches adjusted. 2 PSI
Orks are the same height as elves. Using the same foot measurements we get 2.7 PSI
Trolls are way taller then humans but weigh a lot more. We get foot measurements of about 18.1x5 inches. About 90 sq inches/foot. Well be ungenerous and say 85 adjusted. 2.9 PSI

BASELINE: Average Male Human foot being 11 x 3 inches.
SQ INCHES: Since your foot is not a perfect rectangle I
swagged the amount to get a representative number.
SHOES: The values assume you are wearing shoes. Since shoes
tend to have slightly larger contact areas then your bare feet
the PSI will be slightly higher if you are barefoot. But if you
care about that you can figure the size of your characters feet.
EXTRAPOLATION: Since as a general rule foot length is based
on height I used that to determine the average foot size of the
various metahuman races and sexes. To figure out the FMulti (or
Foot Multiplier) divide your characters height in inches by 67.
You then use that value to multiply the average length and width
of a foot to get your values. Swag the values a bit (they will
be lower), multiply by 2 and then divide your weight in pounds
to get approximate PSI.
BIG RACES: Note that in all likelyhood I have overestimated
the foot size of the smaller metahumans and underestimated that
of the larger ones. But until trolls and dwarves pop up the listed
values should suffice for any wierd reason you need ground pressures.
HOOVES: This does not take into account those
races with hooves and thus the reduced surface area for the feet
(all assumptions are for human-like feet). You can assume that
those races with hooves have only 20% of the surface area that
is noted (perhaps even less in many cases).
